How can I learn to do my makeup? especially eyeshadow?

learn from youtube, thats how i learnedHow can I learn to do my makeup? especially eyeshadow?
Honestly, doing make-up isn't as scary as it seems. I would say that the easiest thing to do is make a plan for how long you are willing to do your make-up each morning. Generally, it takes about 10 minutes to do concealor, foundation, eye shadow, and mascara.

Start with concealer and lightly dab it on the areas you wish to hide. I suggest using a powder foundation next, which you can apply with the brush that comes with it. Make sure your skin tone is even and also make sure that you don't have a line at your neck where your foundation ends and your skin begins.

Eye shadow can be done in many different ways, I would suggest google searching ';how to eyeshadow.'; There are bound to be sites that give you ideas on how to do anything from a smoky eye to a natural look. Then, its the scary part: mascara. Take your mascara wand/applicator and wiggle it from the roots of your lashes out. Start at the inside of your eye and work out to the corners. Tilt your chin up when applying the mascara, that way you don't have to worry about getting it all over your eye lids :)How can I learn to do my makeup? especially eyeshadow?
Practicing is the number one best thing to do to learn make-up. How else can you get good at something if you don't practice?

Buy some brushes, first. Sonia Kashuk has brushes that are on the cheap side but they work really great. Buy an eyeshadow brush, a blush brush and a blending brush. If you can only buy ONE brush, buy a blending brush. When you apply some shadow to the crease, you use this brush in circles and ';window whiper'; motion to blend it in.

Also, youtube channels are great. Xsparkage, fafinettex3, and monroemisfitmake-up are the best channels. They can give you tips on how to apply make-up better and they will show you the correct ways (there really is no one correct way) to apply make-up.

Specktra.net is a great online community. They have FOTDs to get inspiration and you can find excellent tips on how to make your make-up better.

Good luck!

well if you can round up $20 or $30 to make the min purchase at the mall makeup counter, just go into any dept store and pick a makeup brand you like. ask the gal at the counter if she can show you how to do makeup, that's what they're there for. but they work for commission so you need to buy at least 1 thing when they're done with you.
Go to www.youtube.com and type in make-up tutorial. You will find many many helpful videos. It's way easier to learn with a visual aid, that's why I love youtube. When you want to start buying brushes and make-up try eyeslipsface.com for inexpensive items. :)
Girl, you need to check out YouTube! It has tons of make-up gurus on there. That's how I started learning everything about make-up.
