What eyeshadow makeup would go well with a yellow dress?

I am wearing a metallic pale yellow dress with a little bit of metallic black, blue, and silver beading. My clutch and shoes are black. What eye makeup would look nice with the outfit? I was thinking a light smokey eye but would that be too matchy or too much for the outfit? I would not mind going for a natural look but I don't really know what that would involve..maybe brown eyeliner? A smokey eye would look very pretty with this outfit, but if you do go natural, brown eyeliner works fine.


When you do a natural look your outfit doesn't matter because makeup shouldn't look like it's there. Natural pinks or bronzes (or purples for me) will match any outfit. And brown eyeliner works great. natural bronzes with pink tones in them works best for the cheek rather than a brighter pink. and when it comes to the lips a non-shimmery gloss that is lightly tinted with a brownish pink or a rosey pink depending upon skintone is best
start with a cream colored base and then a light brown on your lid. gold on the brow bone and blend those together so there arent any lines. then in your crease do maybe a dark brown or a silver. put black eye liner cleanly on your bottom water line and your top right above your eye lashes then add some mascara. done!

golden shadows look good, but don't put too much on..


You can mix it with brown or any darker shade.
you don't need to coordinate your makeup with your outfit! NO WAY. you just use neutral colors. that's all. And more or less depending on the occasion. Never match/coordinate makeup with outfits. for example, don't wear a pink dress, pink eyeshadow, pink lipgloss.

I would go with to colors and blend them. first a dark blue on the eyelid and then max it out into a silver layer.
you should go with nutrual colors since there so many other colors in the dress its the best way to go
either a natural brown and bronze look or smokey black
