I'm a bit lazy to take off the eyeliner and eyeshadow I put on in the morning sometimes before I go to bed, so can I leave it on overnight without any harmful side effects? I've done it before though. Was just wondering if it'd do anything like absorb into my eyelid and poison my eye or whatever. Hahaha. Thanks. What happens if I leave my eye makeup (eyeliner, eyeshadow) on overnight while I sleep?
Won't poison you. It just makes a gunky bunch of stuff on your eyes you have to wash off in the morning. I do it sometimes too, if I'm too tired to mess with it. Kinda matts my lashes together in the morning sometimes, is all. What happens if I leave my eye makeup (eyeliner, eyeshadow) on overnight while I sleep?
That's disgustng! It gunks in your eyes! How can you be that lazy not to wash your face before bed? I mean I work 2 jobs, go to school, have a husband, run a household and still find time to wash my face before bed!
so bad for skin say dermatologists
I suppose mascara could flake off and possibly damage your eyeball, but the long-term effects of sleeping in makeup are obvious: your skin cannot breathe, and the skin around your eyes is stretched. Don't your eyes look tired and swollen when you awaken? Do yourself a favor and wash your face and moisturize well before bedtime...you will be thankful you did in the years to come. I am going to do just that right now.
depends...for me, it always faded off but it's not recommended because it clogs your pores
It probably won't hurt you. I wouldn't know what happens, though, because I don't wear makeup.
i've done that before and nottn happens it just smurs all over my eye sometimes and then when my eye gets itchy r sumthing i smur it ll over and it hurts
it will make the skin around ur eyes and eyelids itchy. i think it will spoil the eye lashes as well. and if the eye make up is not waterproof, then it will smudge all around. may even dirty ur pillow case.
I've done it before, and I don't think there is any harm to it. Usually when I wake up the next day, my eyes are itchy though.
I like to just take off my makeup with baby wipes - they get the job done nice and quick!
Yes dear there are some side full effect of it
so it is advise to clean at least the eye linear before u sleep
the reason is if u dont then they are made up of chemical which can some time turn so problomatic that u might lose ur eye sight..
i have come across this thing.. Ya if u had forgot about it so just follow this procedure
take a bowl of cold water and dip ur face in it..
And open ur eye so that the chemical get washed away and ur eye reamin beautiful
it is usually fine, but it does clog your pores. sometimes when i do it, i wake up with a zit on my eyelid, which really sucks. i prefer to just wash it off rather than deal with a painful zit for a few days.
nothing except you may smudge it on you sheets and stain them, and if you use really cheap makeup you may get zits and/or blackheads.
Your gonna have panda eyes when you wake up thats all nothing more.
not good...
think its ok if you're not wearing contact lenses. you'll only look like a panda the next morning.
The only thing that happens to my gf when she sleeps with it on is it makes a HUGE eyeliner/mascara mess on the pillow. If you wanna clean your pillow cases, go for it...It wont hurt you any.
The reason why they tell you to clean makeup before going to bed is that it clogs your pores. And you want your pores to breath adn renew.
So probably nothing will happen at worst you might get a stye.
I very much doubt it would be harmful. I did the same for many, many years! Depending on your eyeliner, it CAN flake off a bit when you close your eyes in sleep, %26amp; get into your eyes--but even this has never caused any problems! I got lazy, too, about the eyeliner, %26amp; used false eyelashes instead! I could keep THEM on for days! %26amp; hahaha to you, too!
*** While I did this for many years, I have ZERO bags under my eyes! %26amp; zero wrinkles. I think the ';panda eyes'; is cute! Unless you use GOBS, I can't imagine it clogging yor pores. It's not so much a matter of being ';lazy'; --there ARE times when one is just to weary to do that stuff before going to bed! I wouldn't worry. The skin around MY eyes looks better than some women's who are 10 or more years younger!
I have often thought that it might like poison my eye lol but from what I have read, it just will increase the amount of wrinkles you will have when you get older and obviously give you heavy bags under your eyes. Dont worry- Im pretty sure your eye wont get poisoned- Im curois to see some on the other answers now!
lol nothing except for smudged make up when you wake up!
