put some chapstick on your eyelids before u add the eyeshadow

no color of course but it holds it in place really goodMakeup help:eyeshadow.?
Before you apply your eyeshadow, pat a very thin layer of liquid concealer (NOT stick concealer - it will make creasing worse) or any foundation onto your lids with a cosmetic sponge or your finger. The concealer or foundation acts as a primer for your shadow, helping it lock into place for all-day wear. There is such a thing as eyeshadow primers (like Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, $14, Sephora) that can help, but most often concealer or foundation works just as well. If your shadow still won't cooperate, try switching to a mousse or liquid eyeshadow. After applying to your lids, dust over with a loose matte powder to help it stick. Hope this helps!
hey i totally know what you're talking about.

i hate it too.

but i found something that worked.

1. Wash your eyelids or wherever you put the shadow very well with cold cold water.

2. put a thin layer of vaseline on and close your eyes for 3 minutes ( i suggest listening to music)

3. after the vaseline is in the eyelid you can start to lightly brush the eyeshadow on.

4. wait another 2 minutes.

5. Put an even thinner layer of vaseline on it and let it dry for another 3 minutes.

- The advantage of putting the vaseline on too is that it gives it a blended look and not a chalky weird look-

I do this every day and my eyeshadow stays on all day.

Hope i helped!!!xoxo
ughhh!

that same thing happens to me until..

when i use moistrueizer, i put some on my eyelids

also so then the eyeshadow will stay in place!
No no no to the chapstick! What you need is a primer hun, check out some at MAC. Vaseline will make your eyelids crease, powder won't hold up and will actually dull the colour of your eyeshadow, and chapstick. Hell no! That's for your mouth, your eyes are tooooo sensitive for that.

Check out MAC studio fix eye primer, primer (or base) makes the eyeshadow pigment stick to the eye, makes the colour more vibrant and prevents creasing. That and it's MADE for your eyes!
try putting alot more on.. and if that doesnt work dont bye cheap crap get lancome or clinigue or go to saphora :) hope this helps
i know exactly what your talking about! and using good eyshadow brands is really good. try using an eyeshadow primer, such as urban decay primer potion. it helps keep the eyeshadow where it belongs
Try applying a base before putting on your eyeshadow. I had the same problem and this works like a charm for me. Mine is Mary Kay, but you can find alternative bases in almost any cosmetic store. They should be slightly creamy and slightly powder-y (if that makes sense). Some even have a bit of color or sparkle that will help bring out the color of your shadow. Good luck!
use liquid ones
The absolute BEST stuff to get any eye makeup to last all day long is to get Shellack by Benefit. Put on your eyeshadow as normal and then add a coat of Shellack on top and it will last all day. Just keep your eye closed until it is dry (it takes less than a minute).

It is the only thing I have found that keeps my eyeliner from smudging.
What you need is an eye primer to keep your eye makeup stay put. Brands such as MAC, Smashbox and Benefit have eye primers that you can apply before putting on your regular eye makeup. Another way to keep your eyeshadows from creasing is to apply a layer of either concealer or foundation so you have a base for your eyeshadows to grip onto during the day. after you apply your eyeshadows, dust a little bit of translucent powder to add staying power.
Put some of the eyeshadow on and then put soemthing on top of it.Like if u go to a store the makeup part go t the makeup part and look for either a better kin\d/brand or stuff to make it stay.this should help i did it
you can use a shadestick from m.a.c. (this is what i use) i use a cream color and it goes on underneath my eyeshadow its so freakin great. or you can put chapstick on your eyelids. (basically the same effect.
try the liquidy kind?
well is it the powder kind? because if it is just go to the drug store and buy like a creamy eyeshadow and put that on before.
